SHERIDAN — Sheridan’s independent film festival is back for another year of movie-watching entertainment at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center, with 32 feature-length and short films from a blend of new and experienced filmmakers.
WYO Film Festival Executive Director Breton Shepherd said the event has become a community staple, generating sponsors, audiences and filmmakers to keep the event successful. But Shepherd said the annual festival has new tricks up its sleeve this year, with new sets of awards and two new themed movie blocks to attract a wide variety of moviegoers. Shepherd said he hopes this helps more people engage in the world of independent film.
