The WYO Film Fest seeks films of all shapes and sizes that are innovative, inspirational, and capture the independent spirit of the greatest storytellers and filmmakers.
The WYO Film Festival is a premier venue for independent film in the American West. The WYO offers an ideal setting for filmmakers to develop lasting relationships with fellow filmmakers, industry professionals and audience members alike. The festival draws an audience of over 1,000 attendees and film entries from every corner of the planet to a incredibly intimate mountain town with the best of everything Wyoming has to offer.

All documentary/nonfiction films over 50 minutes in length are invited to submit.
The "Goldilocks" Shorts/Features
Too long? Too short? This is the category for you! Films with a running time of between 21-59 minutes fit juuuuuuust right.
Short Films (all genres)
All genres of films with a running time of less than 20 minutes will be accepted for consideration.
Native/Indigenous Filmmaker Voices
Eligible films must be created by Native or Indigenous peoples or by filmmakers whose works meaningfully amplify Native/Indigenous voices. All genres of films, both feature and short are eligible for this category.
Midnight Madness Shorts
Short films that defy description. Horror, Thriller, Psychedelic…awesome and bananas!
Wyoming Spotlight
Films that highlight Wyoming are a key focus of the WYO Film Festival. To submit to this category, filmmakers must either be based in Wyoming, have their film primarily shot in Wyoming, or feature Wyoming as the central theme or subject of the film.
