WYO Film Festival to Host In-Person Experience October 2-4 in Sheridan

Festival passes on sale via WYO Theater beginning September 2

WHAT:
WYO Film Festival, presented by ERA Carroll Realty Co., Inc., will return for the third year, Friday, October 2 – Sunday, October 4, 2020, at the historic WYO Theater in Downtown Sheridan, Wyoming. The WYO Film Festival is expected to be the only film festival to host an in-person experience in Wyoming this year. The three-day festival will screen 13 feature and short films, including award-winning films that have screened at some of the most prestigious film festivals across the country.

WYO Film Festival is moving forward with an in-person festival experience and is working closely with the WYO Theater, the town of Sheridan, and local community members to ensure a safe environment for all festival attendees. The festival will observe social distancing recommendations and theater capacity will be significantly reduced, allowing for a safe distance between rows and seats. With reduced seating capacity, WYO Film Festival will host two screenings of each film throughout the weekend in an effort to provide a quality festival experience to as many people as possible. All attendees will be asked to reserve their seat at each screening upon purchase of their pass.

Festival Highlights:

  • Bastards’ Road Film Kicks off Night One: Bastards’ Road, the documentary following Marine veteran Jon Hancock’s epic 6,000 mile journey across the country – on foot – will kick off the 2020 film festival on Friday night. Visiting his fellow 2/4 Marines – a unit known as the Magnificent Bastards – and families of their fallen along the way, Jon finds a mission greater than his own redemption. With remarkable honesty, insight and humor, Jon’s journey gives a uniquely positive approach to the post-war topic. Watch the trailer here.
